Christmas is for Children

Christmas is for children
at least that’s what they say,
It’s time of wide-eyed wonder,
a magic holiday.

When candy canes and gingerbread
fill tummies with delight
And little sleepyheads try hard
to stay up through the night.

Yes, Christmas is for children
anyone will tell you so.

The twinkling, colored lights on trees
make youngsters’ eyes just glow!
Each package and each stocking
is approached with childish joy
And toys bring squeals of laughter
from each eager girl and boy.

Yes, Christmas is for children
all they say is true.

How wonderful that at Christmas time
grownups are children, too!

To Miami

Miami is the Sun Gate
Palm tree that enchant
Cosmopolitan panorama
Metropolitan landscape

Their blue waters are delicated
Their sunny beaches are warm
Mansions that charm
To the tourist and strange

Smartness and distinction
Gives the city preponderance
Like place of peregrination

Their arquitecture and excellence
The kind and gentle condition
Calls the place the Queen of the Quintessance

The United States

God creates the world
And the United States
Is consecrated as a legend
That conquers the universe like gold.

The nobility of the sword
The great Independence
That dazzles to the Prudence
With their sons of the worth

The Achilles heel of the United Kingdom
Greeks and Trojans braves
The triumph of the thirteen colonies of the lord.

Patriots win the victory, the excellence
Uncle Sam, Zeus and Jupiter concord
The glory of the American Independence.

Mother’s Are The Sweetest

Our mother is the sweetest and
Most delicate of all.
She knows more of paradise
Than angels can recall.

She’s not only beautiful
But passionately young,
Playful as a kid, yet wise
As one who has lived long.

Her love is like the rush of life,
A bubbling, laughing spring
That runs through all like liquid light
And makes the mountains sing.

And makes the meadows turn to flower
And trees to choicest fruit.
She is at once the field and bower
In which our hearts take root.

She is at once the sea and shore,
Our freedom and our past.
With her we launch our daring ships
Yet keep the things that last.

Nuestra libertad y nuestro pasado.
Con ella lanzamos nuestros barcos audaces
Sin embargo, mantengamos las cosas que duran.

A Mother’s Love

A Mother’s love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .

It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .

It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .

It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .

A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God’s tender guiding hand.

Traducción:

Un Amor de Madre

El amor de una madre es algo
que no se puede explicar,
está hecho de una profunda devoción
y del sacrificio y dolor,
es infinito y desinteresado
y duradero pase lo que pase
por nada puede ser destruido
o considerar que el amor se vaya. . .

Es paciente e indulgente
cuando todos los demás están abandonados,
Y nunca falla o se detiene
aunque su corazón se esté rompiendo. . .

Se cree que más allá de creer
cuando el mundo alrededor de condena,
ella brilla con toda la belleza
de las más raras, gemas brillantes. . .

Esta mucho más allá de la definición,
que desafía toda explicación,
y sigue siendo un secreto
como los misterios de la creación. . .

Un milagro esplendoroso que
el hombre no puede entender
y una prueba más maravillosa
de la guía de la mano de Dios.
